Then I need to get to [info]oceandezignz stupidly overdue commissions. Redo some b/w stuff. Make the commission batch I just did look nicer/more interesting for large print. Get gifts done for [info]seso and [info]sebychu for helping me out with the commission batch. Take photos of delicious looking felt cakes to sale. Figure out how to ship them so I can sell them (maybe that should go first). Somehow start prepping my comic. Get ready for NDK. Maybe take more commissions (darn this need for money). Um.. I'm going to stop there..

I've actually gotten kind of fast.. so they shouldn't be too much longer..? Maybe... D:

'Deleting comments means your banned!'

And I thought the Bush administration was retarded.

So what prize do I get for deleting the entire entry, then? ^_^

Anal jackasses.

On the plus side, my friends list is no longer three pages of people whining about bad profiles or lack of GM response.

Ok.. I have Adobe Premiere Pro and I want to learn how to effectively compression a short video (less than 10 min) for viewing on the web. Medium quality, but higher than your standard Youtube quality. Cam anyone tell me how to do this?

Best result I could get for a 6 min .mov, at 23 fps, 75% quality with sorenson 3 compression was 137mb.

If you use yahoo mail, and you get a message with the header 'Yahoo alerts (Account Close Notification)', DO NOT RESPOND.

It's a phishing scam. Replying to it will not send anything to Yahoo officials, but a Hotmail mailbox, instead. You can check the full header to verify this for yourself.

links and commentary of the morning... afternoon, whatever [Jul. 17th, 2008|12:24 pm]

LJ's recent shenanigans are detailed here. Because I'm writing about impractical things I think should happen (for instance, me getting a turtle that doesn't repeatedly crawl up to the window and look sadly outside a pony), I specifically stuck with the basic account because I liked the lack of ads on my journal more than I liked the possibility of extra icons. As such, this is my /:< face.

There is one nectarine left, and it is delicious and looking at me. I've already eaten the other three over the past few days, and I'm debating whether I've given the rest of the family enough time and opportunity to get one if they wanted before I devour the last one.

Also on the topic of food, Jeni's Thai chili ice cream is very weird, folks. I had a scoop of it the other day because I was feeling adventurous and the sample was tastier than I'd anticipated. It tasted like peanut butter at first, and then peanut butter with a bit of coconut, and then after I swallowed it, the chilies started to burn the back of my mouth. It wasn't all that bad - very weird, but not bad - but I don't see a need to try it a second time. I don't know. Maybe people who are into spicy, peanut-buttery ice cream would like it more.

More weird food: The Biting Pear of Salamanca.

Why I am not becoming a doctor: Trauma and You, Part Four: The Squishy Bits. It is exactly what it sounds like. Covering my eyes, unfortunately, did not remove the mental images. It also made it hard to read the article. (Link graciously provided for the morbidly curious.)

And finally, check out this series of tubes techno remix! It kept me entertained for a good five minutes. Enjoy!

Case in point: Today I apparently managed to misspell in my head what I was going to send to my mouth, and the phrase "Corn grows" came out "cron gorn." English, as you can see, is my second language. My first is made up - possibly dwarvish.

However, I did somehow manage to guess today's final Jeopardy clue! As it turns out, the 1962 Oscar-winning movie running 227 minutes that did not have any credited female speaking parts was Lawrence of Arabia. Go me?
